The Barahona area is well known for its variety of folklore, but most of all by its physical beauty. Visitors interested in exploring nature come to enjoy and experience the charm of the birds. Barahona’s landscape consists of mountains, streams, waterfalls, a variety of vegetaion from lush tropical forests to deserts and miles of breath-taking beaches.

The province of Barahona is found in the Southern part of the country, about 200 Km from Santo Domingo.
